Pinaud Clubman Eau de Quinine Hair Tonic
Pinaud Clubman Eau de Quinine Hair Tonic
The oldest hair tonic and a bestseller from Ed. Pinaud since 1810.
When Edouard Pinaud opened his world-famous perfumery in Paris in 1810, one product was one of his specialties: "Eau de Quinine". This wine-red, quinine-containing scented water for hair became such a bestseller that when hygiene became fashionable around the world around 1900, over 150,000 bottles of the Eau de Quinine from Ed were sold every month. Pinaud were sold. Eau de Quinine smells mysterious, bitter, refreshing and sweet of quinine, roses and lavender. It is used as a hair tonic, after shave and even as a body freshener. CAUTION: Do not use on light hair as it could dye the hair.
Eau de Quinine revitalizes and cleanses the scalp, prepares it for pomade and can also be used alone as a light, oil-free styling product that discreetly keeps the hair in shape all day long. It is also popular as aftershave or body splash. In the 19th century, eau de quinine was used as a scented hair tonic.
Hair tonics such as Eau de Quinine are used after washing your head. To do this, place the bottle opening directly on the scalp and release a squirt. Repeat this evenly over your head 3-4 times. Then massage the scalp and hair with your fingertips. The hair tonic and massage invigorate, refresh and stimulate blood circulation in the scalp.
To achieve a styling effect, massage the hair and scalp until the hair feels almost dry. Now comb and brush the hair into the desired shape.
